Product and Service Design for Healthcare
Context
Normally, Chinese public children’s hospital seeks for high effciency rather than families’ experience due to the heavy workload of doctors. As a result, a lot of hospitals are crowded and noisy with exhausted parents and their uncomfortable kids.
To optimize the medical experience, Shanghai Children's Medical Center(SCMC) collabrated with Tongji University to initiated the a design challenge , aiming to use design power to create a child-friendly healthcare environment.
Key Finding
Kids are having the feelings of fear and resistance even if it is an invasive examination

Build knowledge system & emotional connection with adorable images
STEP 2
Eliminate kids’ fear and resistance of Medical Devices & Healthcare Provider (HCP) by creating a child-friendly environment
STEP 3
Change the image and stereotype of a hospital therefore increase patient compliance.
